The “State Astrotourism Week” is included in the Official Calendar of the State of Rio de Janeiro, to be held the week after the first new moon in September of every year.

During this period, the development of astrotourism should take place, aiming to publicize the places and attractions focused on tourism and astronomical observation research in the State.
